Muslim Daily: Quran & Sholat
Privacy Policy for Muslim Daily: Quran & Sholat (the “App”), a mobile/web application that helps you view prayer times, use Qibla direction, read the Quran, browse hadith collections, and access daily duas.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other direct identifiers.
Depending on how you use the App, the App may process the following types of data:
-
Location data (optional)
- Precise location (GPS): only if you tap a location feature and grant permission. Used to help determine your region for prayer times and to support location-based features (e.g. Qibla).
- Approximate location (IP-based): the App may try to infer your city/region from your IP address when you have not set a location yet, to provide a default prayer-time region.
- Manual location (province/city): if you enter it yourself, we use it to load the correct prayer schedule.
-
App preferences stored on your device
- Selected province/city for prayer times.
- Reminder toggles (which prayers you enabled reminders for).
- Theme preference (light/dark mode), if available.
-
Bookmarks (Quran & Hadith)
- When you bookmark Quran verses or hadith, the App stores the bookmarked items so they remain available across sessions.
- Bookmarks are not linked to a personal account because the App does not implement login.
2. Storage on Your Device
To provide a better experience, the App uses local storage mechanisms on your device (such as local storage) to save:
- Your selected location (province/city), if you set it.
- Your reminder preferences (which prayers have reminders enabled).
- UI preferences (such as theme), if available.
This data is:
- Stored locally on your device only.
- Used to keep the App consistent with your choices.
- Not shared automatically with the developer or third parties.
You can clear this data at any time by clearing the App data (Android), clearing site data (web), or uninstalling the App.
3. No Account, Login, or User Tracking
The App does not require you to register or log in.
- We do not create user accounts or profiles.
- We do not implement user tracking or cross-app tracking.
- We do not use analytics SDKs inside the App to track individual users.
4. Network Access
The App may use network access to load prayer schedules and religious content, and to support location lookup.
The App may send limited data as part of these network requests, such as your IP address (as any internet request does) and, if you choose to use geolocation-based features, your latitude/longitude to the relevant geocoding service.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with third-party services to provide its functionality. These services may receive standard connection information (such as your IP address, device/user-agent, and request timestamps).
- Prayer time data: the App may use public prayer-time endpoints such as equran.id.
- IP-based location: the App may use ip-api.com to infer an approximate region from an IP address when you have not set a location yet.
- Reverse geocoding: when you use precise geolocation, the App may call BigDataCloud to convert coordinates into a human-readable region name.
- CDNs / Fonts (web builds): the App may load resources from providers such as Google Fonts and Tailwind CDN.
- We do not integrate third-party advertising networks.
- We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting tools.
Third-party services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them if you use features that depend on those services.
6. Notifications
The App can send prayer-time reminders as local notifications on your device if you enable them and grant notification permission.
- These reminders are scheduled on your device and do not require an external push-notification server.
- You can disable reminders at any time from within the App or by changing notification permissions in your device settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
Muslim Daily: Quran & Sholat is intended for a general audience. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that we have accidentally collected personal information from a child, please contact us using the details below so we can delete the information.
7. Data Security
Because the App does not store your personal data on our servers and keeps your preferences locally on your device, the main protection for your data is:
- The security of your own device.
- System-level protections provided by the operating system.
We recommend that you:
- Use a secure lock screen (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, etc.).
- Keep your device’s operating system up to date.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Significant changes affecting how your data is handled will be communicated by updating this text and, where appropriate, additional in-app information.
